A freeze pauses a membership for a while, for example during a holiday or an illness. When the freeze ends, the membership's end date moves forward by as many days as the freeze actually lasted.
Before you start
You can only freeze memberships from a plan that has Freeze turned on. In the plan settings you decide how long and how many times a client can freeze it.
Freezing a membership
- Go to Operations → Purchased memberships and open the client's membership.
- Go to the Freezes tab and click Add freeze.
- Choose the start date. The end fills in from the plan rules, but you can shorten it.
- Save.
The same tab shows how many freezes the client has used and until when the membership will be valid after the freeze.
What happens during a freeze
The client cannot book classes or enter the club with this membership. You can remove a scheduled freeze that has not started yet.
If the membership is paid in instalments and one of them is unpaid, a freeze is still possible, but the debt remains. Entry opens again only after payment.
